I finally was able to pack for Vegas last night. Good thing I didn't have any plans because it took me forever! It took me forever because I always have to try on the outfits to make sure they work before I pack them. I think that I might have concentrated so hard on the night outfits that I barely thought about what I would wear during the day...and what I'm going to wear during the day closely resembles what I'm going to wear at night...short skirts and cute tops.
The only thing that's bothering me now is what shoes to bring and how many...To reduce the amount of packing, I'm just going to wear a pair to the airport and probably stuff two pairs in my luggage. I'm actually surprised that for the first time ever, I won't have to check-in luggage!! This way we can get straight to partying!!
I'm always going in and out of these hair phases. One month I'll have straight edge fringe bangs, the other week I pulled my bangs back and teased the shit out of my hair, last year I parted my bangs and curled my hair a lot...and right now I'm growing out my bangs and sweeping them to one side. I'm getting so lazy, I feel like I'm just going to tie my hair in a cute pony tail and go out like that when usually I would go all out and tease and curl it. We'll see what happens...
We've already decided on all the pool parties and clubs we want to hit including Tao Beach, Wet Republic, Rehab, XS, Tryst, Rain, Tao, Ghost Bar, Sapphires and the infamous Chippendale's. To accomplish this, I will most likely be drinking Red Bull and Coffee throughout the day. Yum. My goal is to tan and dance as much as possible without spending a dime on gambling, shopping, food and drinks. There's something for everyone in Vegas, and what we want are the poles!
Excuse me for the lame pictures...

Spinning Pole
I just signed up for a 3-week spinning pole series class! Too bad it's not until May. I'm really excited to start learning since I SHOULD be expecting my X-Pert X-pole (stationary/spinning) at the end of this month or next month! I know the class is going to be really challenging, but it's going to be awesome! The class is is a hour long with 4 students max, since the studio only has 2 spinning poles. I better start getting used to being dizzy! Centrifugal force?? Pssh...that's nothing.

More Stuff I Probably Will Never Wear But Buy Anyways
After a somewhat successful trip to Wet Seal to find a pair of distressed skinny jeans I saw a girl on the street wear...I found myself in Frederick's. I decided to stop by and see if they had anything new. I didn't find anything new, but I did decide to give a bright blue lace and silk slip a try. I already have one of these in black and silver, but for the sake of brightening up my lingerie wardrobe, I decided to try something with color...and they were on sale. And I wasn't about to kick myself in the ass for missing out on the opportunity to get something and see them discontinue the color.
Thou Shall Work With My Lingerie Obsession
I swear every time I know that I'm going to work at PINK I tell myself that I shouldn't buy anything. But there's always that curiosity, did we get anything new in since I was gone. And the answer is always a big fat YES. Yes we did and we got cool ass stuff in.
I started my day at work in the storage room by letting out a scream of excitement when I saw our new canvas beach bags! Love them! But I successfully convinced myself that my J. Crew canvas bag will have to do and there's no reason why I should need a large canvas beach bag when I never ever go to the beach.
Although I was able to stop myself from buying the bag, I couldn't help myself from buying more underwear. If we had old styles then I would've been able to stand a chance...but since we got new styles in that matched the two new bras I just bought last week there was no way in hell I was going to walk out of that store without buying MATCHING PANTIES!
So I did it. I bought 5 for $25. But it doesn't stop there...I spied new swimwear! I saw this neon lime bikini and thought to myself that I needed to try it on...even though in the past PINK bikini tops didn't fit me. I tried it on and it was the most amazing sight...me in a neon bikini. It's really nice that I'm on this diet too...you can see my abs! Just two more weeks!
After deciding that I needed the neon bikini, I asked my co-workers if we had it in any other colors...like white. No white. But black! I tried on the black...I think I loved it just as much. At first I thought I didn't need it because I bought a way more expensive black and gold bikini from Malibu Strings...but I couldn't stop myself. It was basic and would last me forever.
So I left with 2 bikinis and 5 panties. And I have no buyer's remorse because when I went home I tried them on again and I still love them! I can't wait to wear them!
I would've taken pictures of me in the bikinis, but my room is an absolute mess. I'm trying to sort all my picture frames out so that I can put them on my walls right now...total mess. But here's a so-so picture of the panties I got!

Pole Class: Day Seventeen
With the exception of finding bloody fingernails and a belly button after class, I though today's class went very well. At today's Total Pole, Amber taught us the Corkscrew twirl, Yogini and Caterpillar. For most of us in the class, these were tricks that we've worked on before (which isn't a bad thing!).
I had so much fun in class, partly because I was trying and actually getting the tricks down. I secretly love the Caterpillar and Reverse Caterpillar. I know it isn't the sexiest pole trick you can whip out, but it's definitely one of the more interesting and difficult ones just because of the whole defying gravity part.
I can't wait to get and install my own pole! Then I can practice every day!

Pretty Pole: Day Five
I came to class in a bad mood and with a negative attitude and I let it ruin my class. Right before class I was rushing to do some errands, and that involved waiting in line at Kaiser's pharmacy. Ugh!!! I HATE lines. It took me an entire hour to get that done. I just had enough time to rush home and grab my things for class. I drove like a mad woman to Redwood City. I wasn't about to miss another class. I can't even remember the last time I danced, it seems like forever...which definitely explains why I was so rusty. Attitude twirl? What's that? Hook ankle hook dammit!
In general it felt pretty good to be practicing again. It's just that twirling is my weakness and the Pretty Pole dance routine is basically made up of the Attitude, Betty Pin-up Chair and Basic twirls. What was kind of neat was that Christina taught us how to add a twist the the chair twirl. In addition to opening your thoracic (chest), you lean your rib cage to the side and bend your head too. It looks really pretty if your hair is down and makes you go around the pole faster...if you did it right you get dizzy.
Another highlight from today's class was that I wore my new black platforms and I LOVE them! My new FAVORITE pair!!! They're sooo hot and easy to dance in. I just don't want to do the moves in them because I know that they'll get scratched and messed up!! Stupid Carol twirl also messed up my pedicure I just got yesterday too! Bah! Maybe I should start wearing socks to class. Haha!
Even though this series is supposed to consist of only 5 classes, Christina is adding one on for free! Yippee! Which means that next Monday she will be filming us dancing to songs. I strongly do not want to be filmed since I don't want to look like a fool. But if I did, I would dance to "Hey Daddy" by Usher. I wish my pole would get here already!!!
Sooo at the end of class I took the opportunity to practice my Caterpillar inversion. For some crazy reason, the sheer difficulty of it makes me want to do it. And I know I can if I just practice. It's crazy how your body automatically gets used to movement after repeating it several times. I was actually surprised how easy it was to push my ass up. What I'm really afraid of doing is doing a Reverse Caterpillar because that means I would have to release my knees and push up my legs so that I'm totally vertically on the pole (however short that may be). But I will do it! And when my pole comes I'm going to master that move even if it kills me!
So another thing to complain about...I keep getting bruises. I don't want to climb because I get bruises so easily. There has to be some way I can climb without bruising...but on a happy note, my shoes make it easy to climb in. I love that sticky sound on the pole, that means I have to do less work!

Because I Can't Do My Own Nails...
I hope that I don't get used to getting my nails done. This weekend I went back to Pink and White Nails where I got my Glitter and Pink Powder w/ Gel set last time. I knew for sure that I wanted to get my french tip pedicure redone, but I wasn't sure if I was going to get fake nails again or just go with the cheaper manicure. Money wise I should've gone with the manicure, but after getting the powder nails done I think I got spoiled. And they look so natural and I love how they make my fingernails look long!
Of course when I saw their new powder designs I had a feeling that I wouldn't be able to convince myself to go with just one bold color. I actually really like the pink powder and color tip look. It's not obnoxious and I don't think it makes me look ghetto or like a prostitute even though they're fake.
Trang, the person who helped me pick a color tip and did my nails was fabulous! I give her an A++. She made my nails look delicate, slender and really neat. I refuse to let anyone else do my nails from now on. She was also really fun to talk to and I loved how she gave me her genuine opinion. Just 3 more trips and I get $10 off my next service! Woo Hoo!

My Shoe Collection
I love to display my shoes just as much as I like displaying my lingerie. I recently went to The Container Store to get this neat expandable shoe rack. I couldn't get anything too high, so I got one that could sit right in front of my bed. Now I won't forget what I have in my closet...which I'm finally making process on. Seems like the only solution to organizing anything is just to throw everything out.
I realize that my heel collection is puny in comparison to other girls (about 1/3 of the heels I own are pole dancing platforms!)...but that's probably because I went through a phase of being a big cheapo about buying shoes. But now that I love heels because they make me look taller, I can seem to only find and buy the expensive ones. Why? Cuz there's no doubt that they will have my size! Size 5!
What's Another Shoe?
I don't like buying black shoes any more. I have way too many of them. BUT I don't own a pair of black platform pole dancing shoes. I guess it's important to have a basic pair you can wear with everything...so I got a pair.
I ordered these Pleaser shoes from Snaz75 and the came within days. If I remember right the platform is 6.5 inches...maybe more. I don't have an issue with wearing chunky heels because I'm so tiny, so every half inch counts!
They don't look that high do they?

My Bra Collection
As of today, I own 24 bras and more than half of them are Victoria's Secret brand. I used to buy bras for special occasions, but now if I find one that fits me perfectly and is in a color I don't have yet I inevitably get it. I just added 3 new ones to my collection this weekend.
I finally bought Aerie's Abigail strapless push-up since all the bras went on sale this weekend. 25% off every bra! And if you buy 4 you get a 5th one free! Too bad I only like the Abigail bra and that only comes in basic colors, except for the one I got. The Abigail bra fits like a dream. Even though I had the option to get the 32aa Abigail, the 32a fit just as well and I was excited to bring it home with me.
I hate to say this, but I really like Aerie undies because of their fit and designs. Aerie markets to pre-teens and college aged students, so all the undies are more petite than the ones from Victoria's Secret. AND they carrry XXS people! Basically Aerie undies make my ass look good and I like what makes my ass look good.
I haven't been into work for a long time so when I went back today I saw that we got in new styles...and even though I went into work with the mind set that I wouldn't buy anything today, I did. I was bad and bought two bras and a matching panty. BUT I LOVE the color and pattern I bought. Not only is the scoopneck styled bra my favorite PINK bra, but I don't have navy or a pink/leopard print bra...so I don't feel guilty and you'll find a hard time making me feel guilty.
One of the things I love doing is displaying my collection of intimates. I finally made the trip to IKEA and got myself a floral canvas storage box to put all my bras in. Since I work at PINK and fold panties all day, I want to be able to bring the same kind of organization at home. So I'm actually really really happy that I can view all my bras at once now.
Organizing my undies is going to be a lot more difficult. If I'm going to organize them by style and then color, I'm going to need something more complicated than a box...

Monster Tour: Part Two
Lady Gaga fans! If you haven't already bought your ticket to see Lady Gaga's second leg of her Monster Tour do it now! Pre-sale tickets are on sale right now on Ticketmaster's website. You can use password code IRVING for the Virgin Mobile pre-sale tickets or 414729 for the Citi Cardmembers' pre-sale tickets.
Without thinking, I purchased the upper reserved ticket which was only $49.50 ($65 total including the ridiculous fees) but the general admission/standing only tickets are $85!!!! What?! That actually makes them out to be $100 including all the fees ticketmaster charges! Booo!
If you've already gone to one of her performances last year, no worries, this one is different! Supposedly it's less of a concert than a musical or opera that takes place in NYC. So this is definitely a sit back and relax kind of show...or I'm telling myself that so that I don't feel so bitter about not getting a general admin ticket!
Again I will be going alone because I couldn't find anymore seats!! And no way was I going to spend $100 per ticket! Remember that I am "saving" for school. Bah!
Well no worries. I know it'll all be worth it when I watch her sing "Bad Romance," which so happens to be the theme song to my very memorable dating experience...someone needs to tell me to keep away from boys!

The best way to start the week off right!
I've put off making my Snaz75 purchase for way too long...but I'm glad I did because I ended up finding some great things and a 10% coupon code online!
If something went wrong with the Snaz75's website and they told me I could only buy one item, it would be this killer dress in neon pink and black. I've already decided that however risque it might look, I'm wearing this to the DJ Tiesto concert in April!!!!! I'll probably end up wearing my vinyl hot shorts underneath and a nude bra.
I didn't want to but I did it. I bought a pair of black heels. I really wanted these platinum or gold gladiator heels, but they ran out of my size!!! Boooo!!! Well, at least I now have a pair of chunky black heels that "goes with everything!"
So this is my little secret splurge...these two gorgeous snakeskin skirts that I love love love! When and where will I be wearing these skirts?? I have no clue, but they came in x-small and they're mine!
Unfortunately they didn't come with tops so I had to get a vinyl bra top to go with them...

Pole Class: Day Sixteen
So I went one day without pole and I started to feel weird...I think it was very similar to what someone experiencing withdrawal would feel like. At this point, I'm about ready to purchase my Titanium Gold X-Pole (w/spinning capability baby!). So X-pole or bust!!
After watching Mina and Estee Tuesday night, I became determined to learn more advanced moves and to work more on my Caterpillar. I couldn't think of a better class to go to then Tricked Out. It was my second Tricked Out class and I forgot how I always see people in that class that I don't recognize.
Tonight Ellen taught the class. For twirls we learned the Reverse Grip. For inversions we learned the Caterpillar, Reverse Caterpillar, Scorpio and Allegra.
When done right the Reverse Grip is the most beautiful twirl/spin I think you can do. To get into you could start with a chair, and as you let go of your bracket arm your hips swing in front of the pole and you can easily place your bracket arm back onto the pole.
After Jenyne's workshop, I swear that the Caterpillar became about 5X easier for me. She's all about conditioning and her conditioning exercise for the Caterpillar truly works. It's like doing push-ups on the pole. I just need to get the Reverse Caterpillar down. Ellen taught it with the forearm grip, but I learned the elbow grip from Jenyne and I like that one way better. I like the elbow grip better because my palms get really sweaty holding myself in Caterpillar position, so to minimize the sweat on the pole for me the better. At this point in class, I truly wished I could go home and just practice this one all night.
I swear the Scorpio should be easy for me, but I keep making it more difficult than it really is.
So the Allegra inversion was a new one for me tonight. When you invert you hook your inside leg so your knee is bent (for me this is the right leg) around the pole. You take your right hand and wrap it around the front of your leg so that it's gripping the nook between your bent knee and the pole. From here you extend your body to face outward and grip the pole on the bottom with your left hand. I couldn't do this part. After that you extend your left leg and right leg. Point those toes! When you're in the position correctly, your legs are off the pole and straight. Good luck!
TwirlGirl had a great idea to get into Cross-Knee Release together on the pole. This is my favorite pose from a climb...because I can do it! Haha.

When in doubt toss your hair
Finally the day I've been waiting for the past four weeks has come and gone. And I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience for my first pole dancing gig.
Activision, the gaming company that hired us for the event, went all out for their release party of "True Crime." Since the video game takes place in Hong Kong, the entire theme of the party was Oriental and it was beautifully done. Did I forget to mention that besides from the oriental decorations, that Activision's grand scheme for the party was to transform the conference room into a high-end strip club frequented by gangsters?
The first thing you see when you walk toward the conference room is a red carpet, a bouncer in a black suit (and he wasn't there as a prop!), 2 large golden lions on either side of the entrance, empty fruit boxes reminiscent of China Town on the side, Chinese lanterns, and a large red neon "Club BAM BAM" sign. It got even better when you walked inside. Ceiling to floor and wall to wall they decorated the room with red and gold Chinese silk and gold gilded mirrors. There were floating television screens playing the True Crime teaser trailer all around the room. On one side of the room was a bar (open bar all night!) with a large True Crime collage in the back. Directly across from the bar was a large platform (main stage) with a x-stage built into it. I only went up there once, but it was an amazing view! You could see everything! There were tables and stools throughout the room and a really sweet lounge area too right next to the main stage.
At the far end of the room was the DJ, that had great music playing all night (house/electronica). It was sweet how they asked for our song requests! S.O.S, Sex on Fire, Rude Boy and Brittney were definitely requested! In a corner next to the bar was another x-stage, where I danced for most of the night. The only really annoying thing about this stage was that it was TOO close to an impromptu wall that had two mirrors attached to it. Lets just say that wall and those mirrors were periodically kicked throughout the night...
After we got into costume (mine was really revealing! Bra and garter belt!), Activision had us walk in a line down to the first floor, through the crowds around the bar downstairs, back to the second floor, and then back up to the third floor to Club BAM BAM. We grabbed a lot of people's attention ;)
When we got back, we proceeded to test out the stage and good thing we did too! I got on it and decided to do a twirl when the top half decided to start spinning with me! Ooops! I guess someone didn't install it right! We got that pole fixed, but we didn't realize the pole on the main stage wasn't installed properly either until less than half way through our performance.
Even though I was pumped up, the x-stage and the claustrophobic space threw me off completely. Right in the beginning I couldn't do a proper twirl because everything was too unfamiliar. But thankfully at the end of the evening, I became very close to comfortable...so comfortable that I even decided to give the big stage a try! And I'm glad I did too!
Whenever I got up on stage, all of a sudden I was in my own world. It was just me, the stage and the music. Honestly, I did a lot more sensual dance than pole tricks and twirls. I just couldn't do it in the space that I was given, but the other girls were amazing!
In total, there were 6 dancers including myself. No one needs to tell you how Mina or Estee performances were. They combined acrobatic athleticism with sensual dance so well that you become completely memorized. I absolutely loved it when they did tricks on the pole together! I think Estee might have intimidated tons of guys in the room. She could've easily broken someone's neck with a simple twist of her ankles. But she was also the only one that got tipped that night! haha. And it was well deserved too!
Every girl had their own style, and it was really great to observe how they worked the pole. While a lot of the girls were experienced pole dancers and threw in 5-10 tricks per rotation, I did a lot of sensual dance. Hey, if I can't throw out a trick at least I can be visually pleasing! hehe. This actually turned out to be a good thing for me because I met someone who took really great pictures and film of me dancing. I can't wait to see them! I will definitely post them when I do!
In general, I just told myself to have fun Tuesday night. And I did! Once I accidentally whipped a guy with my hair while I was dancing (the stage and the crowds were in very close proximity on the floor), and thought it was so funny that I did it on purpose to the same person two more times! Haha. That'll teach you to get in my way! I actually became very dangerously close to becoming a vixen that night. If there's ever a good time to let yourself go wild, it's definitely in this atmosphere. And I loved it!
We originally were supposed to dance for 4 hours, from 8PM-12AM. But they loved us so much they asked us to stay until 2AM. So we stayed! Especially since they bribed us with food afterward! This was such an amazing opportunity, especially since I just started in January. If I ever get another opportunity, I'm not going to turn it down! It just gives me more incentive to practice, practice, practice!!

Little Black Boots
I've been trying to stay away from black platform heels because before I started dancing I would only buy black heels and boots. But black always goes with everything, so I should at least look at my options...
At the Gold Club, I saw a really gorgeous girl wear a pair of these (but in 6.5) and they actually looked really good with her outfit...
Honestly, I wouldn't mind wearing the 6.5 because I'm short and every single 1/2 inch helps!
This one is similar, it just definitely has more support...
I like the idea of having clear platforms for the black boots!

Music You Can Dance To
When I was at the Gold Club the other night, Rude Boy came on. Until then I only thought about it as a song to listen to over the radio or to dance to at a club, but why not at the strip club too?! It's actually an awesome song to pole dance to and the video rocks!
