One of my friends just started her own blog and it's absolutely amazing. She has great stories and every single post makes me laugh aloud. If you like reading my blog, you'll definitely enjoy hers, so check it out!

A Reward For My Hardwork
One day I'll be able to master some pole moves, and when I do I will have muscular Madonna arms. But to really motivate myself, I'm going to let myself buy another pair of platform heels from Tony Shoes! The real issue is picking which one! I was flipping through the catalog at Poletential (Tony Shoes only sells to retailers, not directly to customers)and I found several that I wanted! I got the idea after talking to another pole dancer in my class, since she just got two new pairs from Tony Shoes. One was for salsa dancing, and the other one was to make all the other pole dancers envious of her. I was actually looking at a very similar type from Pleaser...it's the black one with all the criss crossing strappies.
But anyways! I want a gold one, a pink one, a red one a black one for going out in...and these very sexy gladiator heels in gold...Right now I'm using a clear/silver rhinestone encrusted one that's really cute but isn't very good for climbing. If I had to choose one, I probably would go with gold. One advanced dancer in the class has a pair that I love. I couldn't find the pictures of the ones I wanted online, but when I eventually get them I'll post them! I have a bad feeling that I might end up buying some next weekend...I was told that the price of the heels included tax and shipping!!! Maybe if I get the heels, no one will really concentrate on how bad I am at pole dancing. Haha.

Pole Class: Day Three
I was dreading class today. Why? Because of the inevitable pain and it's really bad for my ego. lol. But I actually was intent on getting a picture taken this time of me in a pose...unfortunately, we were doing more spins and climbs...spins and climbs that I didn't really master. But at least I tried! And I have the evidence to prove it!
I'm going to describe most of the moves we did and the steps to do them...
We started off with the chair spin...you start off by gripping the pole with one hand and as you take a step with your inside leg, you swing your outside leg out (for momentum). When you swing your outside leg out in a 90 degree angle, you use your other hand to push against the pole. Then you bring both legs together into a position like you are sitting in a chair and swing around the pole. For me, the most difficult part of the move was pushing against the pole instead of pulling it towards me. You're really supposed to have some space between yourself and the pole. I got some serious pole burn from doing that move wrong...
Then we did a variation of the Chair, which was the Mermaid...you basically do the same thing as the Chair move but you end up turning your body in the opposite direction and use your ankles to grip the pole as you slide down. There was also another variation of this where you use the inside of your knees to grip the pole as you slide down. I didn't really get to this point...
After all that fun, we were taught the very sexy Rockette Kick...gripping the pole with both hands you swing your inside leg out to your left side and then swing up your outside leg into the air...at some point it will look like a sidways v. When your outside leg is in the air, the momentum will cause you to swing around the pole where you can grip the pole in between your inner thighs and sort of lay out flat mid-pole. Did I do this one right?...noooo.
We did some climbing in between...the bunny hop and some other one...but I'm not too big on climbing right now...
Lastly, Amber saved the hardest for the last trick. The Catepillar and the backward Catepillar. First you need to invert on the pole. After you're hanging upside down you arch your back away from the pole and grip it with one hand. Instead of the pole in between your inner thighs, it should be between your knees and ankles. You should have a firm grip, or else it's a no go. Then you push your ass up into the air, kind of like you were a cat stretching. Once you're in this position you can do a body wave on the pole. I was actually really disappointed with myself that my body forgot how to invert. I finally got there, but I had to take my shoes off and once it actually flew off my feet... : ) funny.
By the end of the class I think I wanted to collapse. My arms felt like they were about to come out of their sockets, and only my skin were keeping them in place.

My New Year Subscriptions
Great photography. Provocative imagery. Couture fashion. Superior styling. A-list celebrities. Why didn't I think of it before?!
Last year I experimented with GQ, Maxim and Details magazine, but lately they have been losing my interest. This year I'm subscribing to W Magazine and Vogue for the obvious reasons. I know that I'm going to end up tearing pages out of them.
I can't believe I missed the issue featuring Lady GaGa!

Top Shop
Brazilian @ Tammy's
So I just got the best Brazilian wax from Tammy's today. She was absolutely thorough, more thorough than she's ever been before. Trust me, you need to go here if you're ever in need of a wax. But that wasn't really the highlight of my afternoon...what really put a smile on my face was the same police officer I saw last time I was wearing my infamous over-the-knee boots. Could he turn the corner any slower or look at me any longer?? I definitely recognized him, and I think that he definitely recognized me, since I was wearing the same exact outfit I did the first time he did that!! What does that tell you? That I need to go shopping!!
Anyways I'm glad I got the wax! Now all I need is a cute bikini and I'm armed and ready for Vegas!

VS PINK Swimwear is finally in! but just ON-line right now...
I didn't get to watch the Victoria's Secret fashion show, but I did go through all the photos afterward to take a sneak peak at all the upcoming spring merchandise. When I saw this black and white graffiti-print string bikini from the PINK collection I went berserk! They also have it in pink and white but we'll see how that one compares when they arrive in stores...
Too bad they're only online now...but at least we know they'll hit the stores soon!

Pole Class: Day Two
I found out today that the Saturday day class I attend is the 2nd most difficult class they offer. Every "Total Pole" session is a completely new class (versus a progressive series) where you are taught anywhere from 3-5 new pole moves. Today's lead instructor was Amy, who looks exactly like Amber! They're sisters.
Since I couldn't do all the advanced moves (Cradle, Cradle w/ V, Russian "Anna" pose...), Christina taught some of us basic variations. The highlight of the class was learning how to do the basic Scorpio inversion on the pole. That's hanging upside down on the pole with one leg on the pole and another hanging off and pointed towards the ground while your back is arched. They didn't teach us the complete move, but I did most of it! And afterward I don't think I could use my left arm for a good 2 hours. Not to drive, not to scratch my noise...nothing. But it was sooo worth it! BTW I have bruises on my foot, side, and arm. Very sexy.
I really wish that I could practice these moves at home on a pole. Sadly I'll be moving back in with the parents so I can save money for school. So I don't think I'll be getting a portable pole any time soon, unless I want to share with my parents my extra-curricular activities. Haha. That would make a very funny story.
Next time I'll ask someone to take a picture!

V-Day
If you're trying to ignore this upcoming Valentine's day like I am, you might have a difficult time. Lingerie retailers are gently reminding us all to stock up on red and pink lacy intimate sets. Specifically, Victoria's Secret is marketing their new Corset Demi Bra in two different styles. Too much coverage and not enough sizes if you ask me...but the models look hot in them.
Even though I won't venture to even try on VS' new Miraculous Bra (shown below) that instantly adds "up to 2 full cup sizes for maximum cleavage, all with amazing comfort and a natural shape..." I appreciate that they offer 32AA online. But who's going to believe that I'm a 32C?
OMG I want this blue slip! But it doesn't come in my size! Humph!
They have animal print for you wild ones!

My Navel Piercing
My brain is locked down on summer and everything associated with it...tanning, swimwear, short shorts, and half-naked toned bodies. So naturally I find myself coveting sexy navel piercings. They look great almost on everybody...almost.
You should've seen me at Zebra tattoo & piercing parlor torturing the guy with my indecisive-ness..."what do you think about this one?...do you like the pink or purple better?...Oh! can I see that one too?!...why don't you like pink?...Oh! They have blue too?!" I swear it took me 20 minutes just to pick a color. It was such a tough decision! How can you just pick one?! I had to pick one that I would be wearing for the next 4 months! Well, at least I know after it heals I can wear as many different colors and styles my heart desires. So I picked the baby blue. It's the right color for my skin tone and pale enough to look white, so it'll go with everything.
Now I'm definitely going to have to be strict when it comes to my diet. But I love starch dammit!

I can only have one?
Every girl knows that it's not enough just to have one pair of heels for a certain occasion. Now that I'm taking pole classes on a regular basis, I can't use my pretty rhinestone heels so I need to buy a simple pair to practice in. I also want to be able to use these heels to go out in Vegas, so I've limited myself to only selecting a pair of black ones (even though I really am tempted to buy a pink pair...).
I've narrowed it down to these two...they're actually the same price and come in my size.
This one I can definitely double for Vegas and pole classes. I like how it covers most of my foot since I don't find it very attractive...
I like this shoe on the model, but I'm not sure if my veiny foot will look as good in it. Plus I'm worried putting all my weight in the shoes will force my toes out of the wide peep-toe. But I definitely like this design since it resembles bondage to me. I can see myself wearing this heel with a costume...

Pole Class: Day One
Like the other pole dancing studio I used to frequent, Poletential was also located in an inevitably shady and industrial area. I didn't know what to expect for my first class since I was actually dropping-in on the Saturday Total Pole class which is open to all levels.
After the usual 15-20 minute yoga-esque warm-up led by the graceful Amber (who's going to compete in USPDF!), the group split up into beginners and advanced students. Unfortunately, I went on an unusually busy Saturday morning and had to share a pole with another girl (which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be). In total, there were 5 beginning students and two teachers, Christina and Cat, and 3 poles between us. Christina was the upbeat cheerleader and Cat reminded me of Morgan from The Mists of Avalon.
In this class I learned how to properly walk around the pole, lift myself up a pole, and the round-a-bout, bow-tie & bow-tie variation, pole slide, pole wave, and hand twirl twist moves. For a beginner, this class is pretty intimidating. If you don't have any prior experience, don't expect to do every move perfect the first time or even the 10th time. I have to say that I was disappointed in myself for not immediately catching on some moves and carrying the moves out gracefully like I imagined I would in my mind.
But no worries! I have 9 more classes to perfect them and learn more moves to add to my repertoire. I already know that I'm going to be in supreme pain tomorrow because I'm already feeling sore right now, especially my arms and shoulders!
BTW I do attend to eventually put up videos of myself doing pole moves as soon as I get my own pole!

Not Just For Men
Last year I subscribed to Maxim, GQ and Details magazines. The ladies on the front cover and centerfolds don't only appeal to men. For a member of the female race, I am strangely attracted to magazines marketed to men. I used to grab Cosmopolitan, Elle and Glamour magazines if something caught my eye, and it usually was fashion related. Now that I've established a firm grasp on my own style, those magazines fail to catch my attention. The only exceptions are Vogue and W magazines which are in a league of their own.
The Maxim, GQ, and Details magazines usually do such a good job of choosing a muse and photographer that I tear out the pages and frame them. I really appreciate a toned female body in a revealing outfit. I also really like knowing what guys are looking at, and what they find hot not cute.
Although I was originally hooked by the captivating images, I have to say that I have read some really great articles from these magazines. Articles on topics that you can start great conversations with.
My newest discovery, thanks to a friend, is For Him Magazine (FHM). It's a UK based magazine, although there's also a US version too...but for some reason European babes are just hotter.

US Pole Dance Federation
It's official. I'm obsessed with pole dancing. And look what I found...the US Pole Dance Federation (USPDF)! Yes, there's a organizaiton out there and even better they hold national Pole Dance Championships! And lucky for us, the 2010 championships are coming up! On Friday, March 19th twelve finalists will compete in New York at the Symphony Space. I'm almost tempted to go! It would definitely be an inspirational evening.
I also found out that they have tons of affliated pole dancing studios, and Poletential in Redwood City is one of them! But wait, there's more...Wendy Traskos, co-founder of the USPDF is coming to Poletential to instruct a class on Thursday, January 21st! Yay! Lucky for me I just bought a 10-pack pole dance package!
Foot Fetish
Besides Pleaser, Tony Shoes is one of the most recognized brand for your stripper heel needs. They offer 5-inch, 6-inch, 7-inch, light-up and wood/cork platform heels. If you're into boots, they have ankle, knee and thigh-high boots too. The pole dancing studio I used to take classes at, Sedusa Studios, carries these boots in their boutique in Campbell. The regular styles are reasonably priced and I hear they're really comfy. If you're looking to buy them online, they have a list of online retailers on their website you can select from. I'm actually coveting the ones below, but can't find them!

Portable Poles
I might be getting ahead of myself, but I can't stop thinking about dancing on my own pole in the privacy of my room. Looking back on the many reasons why I moved out of my parent's place, I can clearly remember that putting up a portable pole was one of the big ones. The things you do for a little bit of privacy...
Now that I put myself on the track to build pole-dancing skills, I can seriously think of getting my own portable pole. If you're just starting to think of buying poles online, it can be a little bit overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for. Since you're buying it online, you can't really test the integrity of the product or brand. Even though I haven't had much experience buying portable poles, I can at least say that from the research I've done do not buy cheap $100 poles. It's a waste of your money.
A really great price and product comparison of the reliable brands can be found on this link...http://www.flirtystripperpole.com/pole_comparison.html
If you want to find out about the cheap and low quality poles Flirty Girl Fitness also has dedicated a page to educating potential pole buyers against these brands...http://www.flirtystripperpole.com/pole_choosing.html
You can narrow down the brand you want depending on your color, height, width and price preferences. I recommended the Lil' Mynx Dance Pole to my friend since she loves everything pink. And it looks amazing in her room! I have to agree that the pink pole totally matches her personality.
If I had to pick one, I would go with a 45mm Titanium Gold pole set offered by X-Pole. Even though it definitely is one of the most expensive poles you can get ($329.99!!!), I totally trust the quality of this brand (plus where else can you find a gold pole?!). This pole fits me since it's made for dancers with smaller hands and it can adjust to ceilings from 7'4" to 9 feet tall. I might just talk myself into getting one next month...

Poletential
Right now, nothing gets me more pumped up and excited than the idea of pole dancing. I have put pole dance lessons on the back burner for way too long. Ever since my first taste of pole dancing at Sedusa Studios, I have been dying for more. There's nothing more I want out of life right now but to learn how to twirl and do inversions on a pole. From a friend's recommendations, I decided to purchase a 10-pack's worth of pole drop-in classes from Poletential which includes Flirty Tricks, Sultry Pole, Basic Pole, Tricked-Out Pole and Total Pole.
My first class will be this Saturday and I feel like there won't be enough time to learn everything I've seen on youtube videos! I could just visualize myself twirling away on my own gold pole at home one day...well at least I have something to look forward to this weekend! It will definitely keep my insatiable cravings in check too!

Secret Diary of a Call Girl
Even though I love boys, I do admit that women certainly have the power of hypnotizing me. Billie Piper, who plays Hannah Baxter in the Secret Diary of a Call Girl, definitely has this effect. Whether you are straight, gay or bi-curious, you will absolutely be hooked on this show if you love fetish wear and London accents.
I watched this show, a Showtime series, because of Bille Piper's fabulous costumes, luscious lifestyle and sexy allure. I'm dangerously attracted to lifestyles that involve lingerie, stockings, and a pair of heels. Hannah's (A.K.A "Belle") character is a perfect example of the risque and yet proper lady. Just because you have an unconventional profession doesn't mean you can't be couture about it. And who doesn't love to watch a hot woman show a guy how it's done?

Sexy Swimwear: The Micro Bikini & Scrunch Butt
Sometimes I wonder if I should be living in Malibu or Brazil when I go swimwear shopping. I find that most mainstream swimwear is too conservative and covers too much skin. My petite size could possibly contribute to this bias. Since I have tiny curves, I need tiny swimwear to accentuate my barely-there curves. I demand people to acknowledge that I have curves too!
I already know that no amount of in-store shopping will successfully lead to me finding a bikini up to my standards. This is where the world of online shopping comes to the rescue. If you're willing to pay more for your bikini, I have found some great sites that sell micro bikinis and the new and trendy scrunch butt bikini bottom in different styles, colors and sizes that has become really popular in SoCal and LA.
These micro bikinis are not for everyone. I have to admit that most of them are too extreme for me to even think of trying on. Plus micro bikinis on really busty women make them look like body builders. If you're busty, try a revealing monokini instead like the one from Flirt Catalog shown above (it has a scrunch butt!).
The scrunch butt bikini bottom comes in different shapes now. You could get one that covers your bottom entirely or one that is a border-line thong. I suggest to get one that reveals more skin, since scrunch butt bikini bottoms could look like wedgies if done wrong. Scrunch butt bikinis are my new favorites because it creates a contour of one of your best assets. Plus it gets rid of that weird air pocket between your butt cheeks you get when you wear a regular bikini. When you get in and out of the water, the bikini still holds it shape unlike the regular bikini you buy in stores.
The two online sources I like are www.chynnadolls.com and www.malibustrings.com. I have my eye on a bubble-gum pink micro bikini and scrunch boy short. But there's this brown sequin micro bikini that just screams Vegas baby to me! Even though summer days are months away from now, it's not too early to start thinking of getting yourself a new swimwear set that compliments your body type. Plus it gives you a reason to pass up that yummy looking donut!

Madame S Boutique
After discovering that Madame S Boutique sold black thigh-high leather stockings at one third the price of Agent Provocateur's and that they were located just fifteen minutes away from my work, I couldn't stop obsessing about getting my hands on a pair. I was very determined to visit Madame S Boutique and wouldn't settle for going the next day. I know myself, and if I waited I would just keep on waiting and never work myself up again to go.
I persuaded a friend who worked in the same building to come with me after work. It would be the first time for the both of us. Even if you're not into BDSM, you'll probably still find something worth buying here. After what seemed like four agonizing hours at work, we finally made our way to Madame S. I was glad I had someone to walk with because the walk to and back from Madame S was definitely got shady at night.
You have to walk through the Mr. S. Leather store to get to the Madame S. section, but that didn't slow me down. I walked all over Madame S. to find the stockings. It took me a while to figure out that they weren't there. Since they're unisex they were inside the Mr. S section. Unfortunately, once I opened the package and saw the size of the small I knew instantly that they wouldn't fit my petite legs. For probably the next fifteen to thirty minutes I tried to convince my friend, the sales lady and myself that they would fit even though we all knew they wouldn't. Psyching yourself up for something and then being disappointed is the worst feeling in the world!
But no worries everyone! I remembered from the website that there were also black, platform, patent leather thigh-high boots that would serve exactly the same purpose if not better! I instantly found them and another pair that laced up on the sides. After trying both on, we all agreed that the laced up pairs were perfect. Why you ask? Because they didn't have that gross latex smell, I don't have to buy lube to get into them or make them shiny, I can adjust the side to fit me perfectly, comes with heels(perfect because I'm short)...and can you say patent leather baby?
I wonder if I could work a pole with thigh-high patent leather boots...it could get sticky.
Anyways, if you're feeling adventurous you should visit this shop. They have neat toys, torture devices, latex costumes and accessories and other kinky stuff that you never knew you needed. Since Victoria's Secret and Agent Provocateur cannot satisfy all your erotic fashion needs, Madame S or Mr. S is a great alternative.
Photos compliments of Janin C. Thank goodness for the iPhone!

Latex, Latex, & More Latex
My newest fetish wear obsession is latex. What originally peaked my interest was Agent Provocateur's black latex stockings. I felt they truly symbolized my alter ego, that little deviant dominatrix I keep in the closet so that I can go about regular day-to-day activities without inflicting too much physical pain onto unsuspecting people. Sadly, Agent Provocateur's collections are limited when it comes to latex, but on the upside BDSM specialty retailers aren't.
Mr. S Leather and Madame S Boutique, located in San Francisco, cater to the latex and leather clad sexual deviants. While I don't particularly subscribe to BDSM, I do find that some of their apparel isn't all together completely terrifying. I plan on getting their black latex stockings since they're only a 1/3 of AP's price! If I'm feeling brave, I might go into the store instead of buying them online. I wonder which friend I'm going to drag along with me...
While latex has always been associated with the kinky and raunchy BDSM culture, I have discovered a few note-worthy specialty retailers that have successfully transformed latex into couture. These retailers have been able to re-invent the design and style of latex without losing the original concept. My stand-out favorite is Atsuko Kudo (it's European of course!)
Yes, that is Kate Moss in the picture above. AK also has tons of press and was commissioned to create a special piece for Lady GaGa. I love you Lady GaGa!
Another European retailer that specializes in couture latex is Jane Doe Latex. Jane Doe's designs are definitely more edgy and and offer latex styles for the rocker or pin-up girl.
Ok, so if that wasn't enough latex for you I also really like the latex stockings manufactured by Syren Fetish Fashion. I love these purple and pink ones. I can be naughty one night and sweet the next.
