What's great about bebe is that they come out with new floorsets about every 2 months, providing customers with a fresh supply of trendy casual wear and party appropriate pieces for the upcoming season. Even though I was disappointed with bebe's last floor set that took on a more tribal look, I am definitely in love with the outfits they put together for their mid-summer campaign which focuses on three emerging trends that mix very well together: floral, military and animal print. The colors are amazing for fall. They use olive green, taupe, deep purple, tan and black. I also have to say that I absolutely love some of the new shoes including the Yasmin Lace Up Booties ($179), Iris Leather Sandals ($159) and these gorgeous cut-out pumps that are not yet available. I would have a difficult time not purchasing at least one item if I walked into this store...
My absolute favorite pieces are the purple opaque tights (mini fishnet!), Silk Fringe Draped Tunic ($149) in taupe paired with the white Carmen Destroyed Skinny Jeans ($129), V Neck Knotted Top in taupe ($49), and Mesh Banded Wrap Dress ($119) paired with the Iris Leather Sandals ($159). Like I said...how do you pick just one? Screw the budget assignment!

Summer Trends and Colors: Bebe Summer 2010 Catalog

One Shoulder Chainmail Sleeve Top $54
The Bebe Summer Catalog perfectly illustrates the colors, prints, trends and key pieces to look out for this summer.
Not surprisingly, rompers and jumpsuits have returned. These are so versatile that you can basically where them for day and night. Just pair them with heels and accent jewelry and you're done. Jumpsuits and rompers are perfect if you're really active, but still want to look smoldering at the same time. Since I've already stocked up on my basic black, I'm looking to getting a perfect romper or jumpsuit in orange or blue.

Silk Pleated Jumpsuit $119
Another trend that has returned this summer are embellished military-inspired pieces. I see this trend mostly through tops and outerwear right now. So if you're feeling like sporting some surplus green and brass buttons, than it's the perfect time.

Despite my very real dislike for the military and those melo-dramatic and romantic U.S. Army commercials, I actually really do like brass buttons and some military-inspired pieces when done right. While reading my Rihanna featured W magazine yesterday, I came across a Balmain ad in the back that was absolutely amazing. This Balmain ad has converted me. While I do love the jacket and outfit, I don't think I'm ready to construct an outfit for myself. (Side note: I LOVE Balmain).

If you don't want to go out and buy new items for your summer wardrobe, you can easily find existing colors and prints in your closet that are in. Obviously, white is one of summer's biggest color but really orange is my new favorite. I never really liked orange, and have always associated it with Halloween. But to avoid pairing it with other colors (like black, which would definitely make you look like a Halloween billboard) wear a one piece dress or romper and accent it with brown heeled sandals and gold and blue jewelry.

Ruffles, taffeta and floral and maxi dresses are also trendy this summer. While I utilize ruffles in my everyday wardrobe, I avoid taffeta and floral to prevent myself from looking like I draped myself in my mother's old window furnishings and extra scraps I found in the attic. If you were adventurous and made it look sleek, than perhaps I could be persuaded, but I would rather not look like I'm attending an afternoon picnic in the 50s. There's too much kick ass going inside of me.
Every season Bebe comes out with at least one pair of shoes that I need to have. This season it's their Romy Leather and Raffia Sandals priced at $159. I have this theory that Bebe's magic number is $159. I definitely remember buying my other pair last year for that amount.

The Sexiest Pink Tights You Will Never Want To Take Off

Pink isn't just for little girls. The color does allude to innocence, but that's why they're so sexy and playful. What really turned me on to pink thigh-high stockings was the Bebe 2009 Holiday Campaign Ad featuring Olya Ivanisevic....Purrrr. I LOVE Russian girls...and boys ;)
The only horrible outcome to all this is that I was too late. Bebe sold out of these lovely tights I believe before I even got a chance to buy them. BUT you can find pink tights everywhere! I found some Fuchsia colored tights w/seam on Agent Provocateur's website ($40).

And there are tons of pink tights on ebay too...I might just go stocking crazy!

Spring Stripes, Prints & Colors

There's only one place that can turn slutty sky-high platforms and cling-wrap dresses into sexy mama merchandise, and that's Bebe. I'm starting to really enjoy shopping at Bebe, especially since they carry XXS! For their Spring 2010 collection I'm in love with their off-the-shoulder dresses, bright platform shoes...

...shoulder accentuating tops, whether they're padded, cut-out or extreme...

I would wear this striped dress with my red knock-out platform heels!!!!

And thanks to my new Club Bebe card I have $10 in shopping rewards! Yay!

Guilty Pleasures & Shoe Fetishes

Ooopps!! Looks like I did it again...There is one thing in my shoe collection that I don't have and it's a pair of gladiator heels. Ever since I saw Balenciaga's gladiator sandals and heels on the runway, the trend has just gotten bigger and bigger.

I have an extremely delayed reaction when it comes to the newest trend, since I tend to shy away from the newest thing for the sake of my wallet. For example, animal print has been around for a good amount of time and I'm just finally falling in love with it! Lately I've been dying for some white python anything...bikini, purse, shoes...

I found these pair at Bebe the other day. I usually don't shop at Bebe because their skirts and dresses are too long...and a lot of Vietnamese chicks shop there and I try not to be one of them. But I can't help it! Some of their stuff is so amazing! I just started to get into their heels because I love platform heels now. When I saw the price tag for these I just wanted to try them on and that's it. But once I had them on I couldn't part with them...why? Because it has gold chrome soles, adds 2 inches to my height, were the last pair of size 5 and are amazingly sexy!
You can't really see in these pictures...but what I also really like about these pair is that they have gold accented zippers running down the back of the ankle. Love, love love...

What really pushed me over the edge to get these shoes is because a friend and I were "shoe shopping" at a bar the other night. I couldn't stop thinking how boring my shoe collection was and decided that I needed to spice it up. I think these will do the job...here I come Vegas!!
