Friday Shopping Spree: Forever 21

I swear about every Friday I have to go shopping. On my lunch break today I went down to Union Square and straight to American Apparel to buy a white side tie bikini bottom to go with the white triangle and bandeau bikini tops I got at H&M this week. I'm really really picky about sizes when it comes to bikinis so that's why I when I found the reasonably priced bikini tops at H&M with gold hardware, I decided that I should spend a little bit more to find the perfect bottom. Of course the perfect bikini bottom would minimize the amount of fabric used to maximize the amount of skin you see (given the size of my asset), but I wasn't about to go find that they day before Memorial weekend. I needed something quick and I knew that I could depend on American Apparel to carry XS merchandise and mean it.

I did something silly and went on the Forever 21 website right before going to Union Square. So I had to stop by Forever 21 after American Apparel. I ended up putting some oversized tanks and dresses on hold to try on later since there was such a long line for the dressing rooms. I could actually just buy everything online and make my life easier, but I'm extremely picky about how something fits me (especially at Forever 21! The tailoring could be so off sometimes!).

Forever 21 Embassy Epaulet Dress (sale $13.99-online only)

Forever 21 Twelve by Twelve Tiered Shirt Dress in Taupe (sale $20.99, originally $42.00-online only)

Since I don't really need these items ASAP (because I generally see myself wearing them during school), I could easily just buy these items online. There just wouldn't be any instant gratification.

Thou Shall Work With My Lingerie Obsession

I swear every time I know that I'm going to work at PINK I tell myself that I shouldn't buy anything. But there's always that curiosity, did we get anything new in since I was gone. And the answer is always a big fat YES. Yes we did and we got cool ass stuff in.

I started my day at work in the storage room by letting out a scream of excitement when I saw our new canvas beach bags! Love them! But I successfully convinced myself that my J. Crew canvas bag will have to do and there's no reason why I should need a large canvas beach bag when I never ever go to the beach.

Although I was able to stop myself from buying the bag, I couldn't help myself from buying more underwear. If we had old styles then I would've been able to stand a chance...but since we got new styles in that matched the two new bras I just bought last week there was no way in hell I was going to walk out of that store without buying MATCHING PANTIES!

So I did it. I bought 5 for $25. But it doesn't stop there...I spied new swimwear! I saw this neon lime bikini and thought to myself that I needed to try it on...even though in the past PINK bikini tops didn't fit me. I tried it on and it was the most amazing sight...me in a neon bikini. It's really nice that I'm on this diet too...you can see my abs! Just two more weeks!

After deciding that I needed the neon bikini, I asked my co-workers if we had it in any other colors...like white. No white. But black! I tried on the black...I think I loved it just as much. At first I thought I didn't need it because I bought a way more expensive black and gold bikini from Malibu Strings...but I couldn't stop myself. It was basic and would last me forever.

So I left with 2 bikinis and 5 panties. And I have no buyer's remorse because when I went home I tried them on again and I still love them! I can't wait to wear them!

I would've taken pictures of me in the bikinis, but my room is an absolute mess. I'm trying to sort all my picture frames out so that I can put them on my walls right now...total mess. But here's a so-so picture of the panties I got!

Teeny Weeny Micro Bikinis

I absolutely love the fit of Malibu Strings bikinis! I have the worse time finding a perfect fitting bikini set since so many retailers size up to accommodate the sizing pattern of our nation. Basically what happens is that an XS turns into a Small and nothing fits how it should.

A few weeks ago I ordered a bikini set from Malibu Strings in size small after getting a good response from their customer service when I ask if a small would be appropriate for my body. I FINALLY got the bikini set in after patiently waiting for it, but it's not like I'm in any particular rush...I just hate waiting.

I'm really happy with it and now I'm thinking of getting a neon set too! Too bad I won't get to use the Winter Sale discount : (

Neon Bikinis

I have a hard time saying NO to myself. And the problem just keeps getting worse when it comes to neon. When I saw this neon bikini by Victoria's Secret I felt like it was already mine.

Now that I'm comfortable wearing neon shoes, I'm definitely going to start experimenting with some neon bikinis too. I know that they aren't terribly popular, but I'm obsessed. And I feel like this is only the beginning for me...

What's great about this set is that it's only $15 for the top and roughly $14.50 for the bottom. Sweet!! I just hope an XS fits me. Victoria's Secret sizes tend to run a little bit bigger on me. Do I here "make it work?"

Thank You Malibu Strings Winter Sale!

Do you know what's the worst part of online shopping? The wait. I'm not a very patient person and I love instant gratification...

It took me a while but I finally made my Malibu Strings bikini purchase! A girl loves selection, but damn if you give her that many she's either going to be there all day or have to get them all. And I would have no problem making multiple purchases from Malibu Strings if I somehow found myself in the care of a wealthy provider...but I hate asking for things. I want, I get now. And I get what I want.

Malibu Strings has so many styles and colors that I want including neon, liquid metal, and baby pink. Even all of them look great on the models, I had to pick one that I knew I would love wearing. I ended up conflicted between the bronze "Gold Mine" and black and gold "Crocodile Beach." Unless I had a tan, the bronze wasn't really going to look amazing against my skin, so I went with the Crocodile Beach since I also love how the model paired it with rhinestone heels. I will get me some rhinestone heels too.

After finally deciding on a pattern, I had to pick which bikini style! The decision making never ends! Since I originally searched for a bikini retailer that sold scrunchie bottoms, I had to get the Rio Srunchie Bottom ($52) they're known for. This bikini actually was special in that it had a cyrstal variation bikini top and bottom. So I got the Crystal Triangle Top ($39) and the Malibu Crystal String bikini bottom ($49) that the model also wears.

If you're going to wear blinged out heels, you need to compliment it with bling on the bikini. I got two bottoms since I knew that depending on where I'm going, some people might take too much ass as an offense. If I find myself in Miami, I will defintiely bring out the string bikini bottom. I would get arrested if I tried it here in Cali.

My bill ended up to be around $130 (I wasn't fond of the extra California shipping charge...haters! What's up with that?? They're made in LA. Hello!!). I saved $28 because of the 20% off winter sale discount which definitely made this pruchase a lot easier to make. Even though I know it's pricey to get 3 pieces, I knew I wanted it and that I would wear it. I have to think of Vegas!
