It may be a man's world, but Vegas is a woman's City

Is it me or does everyone else want to go running back to Vegas as soon as they arrive back home?? I haven't been to any other city that has treated me as well as Vegas, and it feels damn great to be treated like a V.I.P. (A.K.A. Goddess).

Even though Vegas Barbie and I arrived in Vegas Tuesday night we didn't officially start the trip until Wednesday evening at Todd English's Olives restaurant at the Bellagio. Every dish there is sinfully rich, and a meal should be orderded with great caution. We loved this place so much the last time we visited Vegas that we decided to patronize Olives again. I have a feeling that Olives will forever be the restuarant we start our trip off with as a good-luck meal. Between two girls with hearty appetites, the bread basket and one entree was more than enough for the both of us. ONE ENTREE!

After enjoying the fountain and some tourist activities (A.K.A. walking the strip), we decided to try our luck at Sapphire's. A taxi cab driver told us the previous night that it would be possible to enter Sapphire's without a male escort (which is impossible at Spearmint Rhino), well that information was true to some extent. As soon as we arrived we were interrogated with a series of questions including...is it just you two ladies? Are you meeting someone inside? You like ladies? Are you planning on talking to anyone? They might have as well asked us if we were prostitutes while they were at it. After we passed their test and promised that we wouldn't mingle with anyone in the club to take the attention away from the girls that work there, we were allowed to go in.

In all honestly, Sapphire's is not a club worth going to if you're a straight man, straight woman or lesbian. I've been to the Gold Club in SF and in comparison they were more classy and it didn't give me the feeling that I was in a brothel with the voice of a pimp reprimanding the girls from the loudspeaker at the dj's booth. No matter how difficult it is for you, go to the Rhino!!!!!!!! I'm going to make that my goal next time. Rhino or Bust!

Thursday went by in a flash. We should've gone to the topless pool party at Tao Beach or the one at Wynn, but we had no idea. Next time! I got my nails done at a local nail salon. It was the most painful and sloppy $48 powder/acrylic set I've ever received. I'm going to write a 2-star review for this horrible place.

After getting all done up we actually met up with a friend at a bar to watch the Lakers vs. Celtics game. Lakers won of course, especially since my friend was wearing her Lakers earrings! Afterward we went to that magical night club also known as Tao. After getting in and being seated at a table, I was able to take in all the sights. And from my point of view, all I could see were big, bald security guards. All I'm going to say is that these weren't just your every day security guards. I basically thought I was in heaven. That night they opened up Tao Beach too, so we went upstairs to explore. Tao Beach at night is amazing!! There wasn't too much dancing, but it was a great place to meet people and look at all the YUMMY looking men. For the first time I thought to myself "Too many men, so little time!" and "I want to stay longer!".

The next day we went to Tao Beach and then the rest of the day equally went by in a flash...lunch, Lavo, XS, Haze. I was surprised how well this day went. I can't even put my happiness in words...

Saturday was a little bit more chaotic. We hit up Liquid and Wet Republic. Wet Republic ended up being an awesome pool party/sex orgy. The highlight of this party was watching a girl fall while running. Watching her fall made up for all the other girls who splashed water in my face while running around drunk. That's what you get you fucking idiot. Try to look a little bit more sexy next time.

At the end of the night things started to get unclear as to what would happen next. Our flight the next day departed at 7AM! Despite my exhaustion and complaints about the heat, I'm already thinking about the next time I can go. Vegas is calling me!

Packing for Vegas Part II

Vegas Barbie and I finally got together to discuss each other's outfits and how we would coordinate for our outings. We sipped on Chardonnay and ate chocolates while debating what to bring and what not to bring. It was absolutely what I needed to start this week off right! The easy part was deciding on complimenting outfits, the more difficult task is figuring out how to put everything into a piece of carry-on luggage!! This time I'm bringing 4 pairs of heels and running shoes! How will this ever work?! Eeek!

Weekend Shopping: Luxurious Bed Linen & Make-up

I've decided that as a woman I do not exercise my ability to wear lipstick enough. I have counted that I have 4 MAC lipsticks and 3 lip glosses that I never EVER use, not including the one I just bought. After making my somewhat guilty luxurious cotton-sateen Sonoma life + style sheet set (originally $99.99!!), I headed over to the MAC counter at Macy's to buy much needed liquid eye liner. While at the MAC counter, I came to realize that they might still have the VIVAGLAM Gaga limited edition lip stick I tried to get at Nordstrom's months ago. I was lucky and got the very last one (limited edition lipstick - $14.00)!! This shade is by far my favorite one. It gives you the most absolutely subtle pink shade after you apply a coat and purse your lips against a napkin. It's perfect and I'm bringing it with me to Vegas!!

Now lets talk about my new bed sheets! Even though I cannot complain about the eggplant colored Egyptian cotton bed sheets I have now, there was just something off about the duvet and bed sheet combination. I did not feel like my slate grey duvet complimented the dark purple sheets. Instead they looked like they were competing with each other.

I actually discovered these sheets when I went over to a girl friend's house last night. I instantly fell in love with her sheets. I crooned over them to such an extent that she was finally obliged to share some information regarding how she came into possession of them. It turned out that it was a gift from her Mother (and recently too!), and bought at Kohl's out of all places!! At first I doubted this information since the sheets' brands were clearly marked "Sonoma," in which my heart sank because they will charge you an arm and a leg for a book end. But she reassured me that it was a partnership between William Sonoma and Kohl's very much like Vera Wang. Upon closer inspection of the tag I found out that she was right.

I did not lose a day to track down these sheets and make them mine. From the time I dropped her off and the moment I found these sheets I was in perpetual agony. I could not decide whether I absolutely needed these sheets, and of course the answer was NO I DO NOT NEED these sheets. I just WANT them. And I thought I was doing so well with not spending (I can't even think about saving!!). But when it boiled down to it, I could absolutely visualize how well the mauve (BTW I love LOVE mauve right now) would go with my slate grey comforter. What I love most about them is that they have a sheen just like my other sheets. I cold have the visual luxury of satin sheets, but have the physical comfort of cotton sheets! I am so thrilled about how they make my bed look so inviting. At least I can go to sleep knowing that I got them for 50% off the original price ($49.99)! It's not my fault I have a queen sized bed. If I had a smaller bed, I would have no trouble saving money. And in my defense, my younger sister did not think it was a bad purchase (and thankfully she saved me yesterday from making a huge purchase at Forever21!!).

Packing for Vegas

I finally was able to pack for Vegas last night. Good thing I didn't have any plans because it took me forever! It took me forever because I always have to try on the outfits to make sure they work before I pack them. I think that I might have concentrated so hard on the night outfits that I barely thought about what I would wear during the day...and what I'm going to wear during the day closely resembles what I'm going to wear at night...short skirts and cute tops.

The only thing that's bothering me now is what shoes to bring and how many...To reduce the amount of packing, I'm just going to wear a pair to the airport and probably stuff two pairs in my luggage. I'm actually surprised that for the first time ever, I won't have to check-in luggage!! This way we can get straight to partying!!

I'm always going in and out of these hair phases. One month I'll have straight edge fringe bangs, the other week I pulled my bangs back and teased the shit out of my hair, last year I parted my bangs and curled my hair a lot...and right now I'm growing out my bangs and sweeping them to one side. I'm getting so lazy, I feel like I'm just going to tie my hair in a cute pony tail and go out like that when usually I would go all out and tease and curl it. We'll see what happens...

We've already decided on all the pool parties and clubs we want to hit including Tao Beach, Wet Republic, Rehab, XS, Tryst, Rain, Tao, Ghost Bar, Sapphires and the infamous Chippendale's. To accomplish this, I will most likely be drinking Red Bull and Coffee throughout the day. Yum. My goal is to tan and dance as much as possible without spending a dime on gambling, shopping, food and drinks. There's something for everyone in Vegas, and what we want are the poles!

Excuse me for the lame pictures...
